Simon Trends & Friends Weekend

Macy’s exclusive lines were shown on the runway with perfect precision. Cross over bags were paired with form-fitting, rouched dresses, long tees were matched with leggings and skinny jeans, and stylish fall coats were a girl’s best friend for any occasion. There were a variety of looks, all of which were so enticing that I had to go to Macy’s right after the show to go check out the fashions I had seen plus more. Good thing the Macy’s rep. at the show gave me some 20% off coupons.

Also included in the show were looks from Torrid, and true to form the pieces were hot, fun, and screamed attitude. These girls rocked it out in destroyed jeans, military inspired tops with high waist bands, and enough bling to warrant the sunglasses one of the model was wearing. Head to toe, each model was flawless.

Macy's

All of the hair for the twenty models was made possible by Visible Changes at Barton Creek. Each style was different, versatile, and stunning. The colors were rich and infused with the fall season. Every style held up through the multiple outfit changes and complimented each look. The days of wishing you had a cut that went with every outfit in your wardrobe are over!

Torrid
After two days of intense fashion, shopping, beauty tips, samplings, photo fun, and prize give aways, this boy is tired. Can’t wait until the next Simon fashion show! Wish Summer/Spring Fashion Show

Friday, April 30, 2010 the Wish Summer/Spring Fashion show with styles by Wet Salon took place at the Jefferson 26 apartment complex off of 26th and Rio Grande. The atmosphere was chill and a pleasant change from the conventional fashion show. Instead of being in a ballroom at a hotel or club downtown, it was located at the beautiful poolside of Jefferson 26. Residents were able to watch from their balconies while friends and family of all ages had front row seats by the poolside.
The night was filled with sexy sirens that were home grown from Austin, Tx. who strutted their stuff in leg friendly designs by Wish. Each model had three looks: urban, casual, and business –or at least so it appeared. Many of the colors seemed to be inspired by spring and summer flowers that you would expect to see in an expensive floral arrangement. The combination of the clothes, water, and candle lit runway gave the appearance of water lilies floating in a pond glowing in the light of a full moon.
During the event goodie bags were handed out with samples from Palm Beach Tan and Mystic Tan. So even if you didn’t go for the show you could at least get some free stuff out of it. Also everyone got a $25 dollar gift certificate to Wish @ 2322 Guadalupe Street, Suite A. If you want to see more looks by Wish, visit them on the drag or on their facebook page:
